3 years in us-------DAI ZHEN'S INTERVIEW
COM major. Taught English in China. “I can't remember, let's see....probably like 14 or 15” learned engl while in elem school before I come to united states I could not have a really good conversation with american student. For me it was not really good learning”. All chinese students have to take an english test. Didn't have many opport to talk to eng speaker.

What made u decide
when I grad from coll I don't want to go to work...want to learn more, want to learn more about other culture. That was big idea. Thought about studying major in german, finally chose to study in united staes. “I couldn't speak german at all, but could speak american a little.” knew more about united states. “The language was really important.”

why choose mc?
Search some college in us from the internet. Tuition fee was good, gpa requirements were not too high. “but if feel like everything is just good for me. I heard about miss when I was a little boy. I heard about civil war, miss river. I knew that to touch miss was the center of american culture. I had hear that it was agric state. My major was communic., so culture was important to me. I didn't want to study in CA, because it was multicultural.

Was miss like u expected?
Yes. “Green stuff. I like tree, grass, flower. I like natural things. Miss is really beautiful. For miss coll I saw nice people...made a lot of friend here. People helped me a lot. Couldn't speak good english, but they really helped me.

Process:
The whole process took around two months – june & july of 2006
1. sent info to only MC
2. MC sent offer from grad school - august
3. had to go to american embassy in china. “they asked me a few questions like why do you go to united states. After go through this process, they said “you pass”. I said ok.
4. They gave me visa & passport

Girl named Chiny met me. She come over to me and ask a question like, are you an inte student trying to go to miss college. I said “yeah” so she took me there.
How did u start to meet people
Arrived at 12:00 am. “I was pretty nervous actually.” “First friend was a chinese guy named oscar, chinese “Sunyu”.
Went to international center next day. Told me I was in New Men's.

Did american food surprise you?
“thought it was going to be like kfc and mcdonald's. There's a lot of them in China. I thought American people just eat fast food.”
“It's not true, I just don't like american food at all.”
What's different?
I like spicy, salty. But american food is sweet and a lot of fat, like french fries and pizza. I just don't like that kind of thing.
What did u like?
Steak, cooked differently in China
BBQ, cooked differently – we use different sauce
“I like sweet tea more and more. Chinese people don't put the sugar in the tea. They put tea leaf in water. Use hot water.

I heard about that from my friends. They said american people just do their own business. American people are more independent, they try to achieve a goal. They describe everything directly. In my culture when we try to say something, we try to do it indirectly. When we try to do something, we focus on cooperation.”
“I like american movie, noticed there was always one guy who could defeat everyone by himself. Many Chinese movies would never do this.....they call friends help. “We do not have big roles in movies like Arnold Swarttzenator.” “we have superhero, but he still need other people's help.
“When I got here, I found out that american students really like to talk. They laugh very loudly. They talk really loud in classroom and ask professor really weird questions out loud.

Chinese classrooms are silent. “No one speak, no one.” It is hard to even whisper. Prof will say “no discussion.” when the professor say “any questions”, that's when we can speak.

When I study in china, the prof would walk in in the morning and say “good morning class” we would just stand up and say “good morning teacher and bow. He would say sit down. When the class is over, he would thank the teacher to show our appreciation. “Ever monday we would listen to a broadcast that would say stuff like Dai Zhen missed a class, so the school decided minus 10 points. They would say it in front of everyone, students and faculty. Sometimes the teacher wouldn't even know and would suddenly say “dai zhen, leave the class. Sometimes they didn't even say where to go. You know the reason, you didn't even have to ask why.” I think because the point is really important to her. The reason that every class have points is related to teacher. School will say, “we really need to re-evaluate your teaching ability.” Why are your points so low. Teacher would talk to parents and say “your son is a troublemaker. He just late for class.\

“If we're late, we have to....the classroom always closed. Have to knock and say “report”. “It's kind of like a word like “sir” to let everyone know we are outside.” Prof will say “come in.” I will walk into class and say sorry. He will decide whether or not stay in class or go to office. Sometimes ask reason. Most of time, he will say go to office. Being sick was NEVER an excuse for being late.

“He will say, I feel sick too. If you feel sick...what if tomorrow other person come to class and say I feel sick too.”

“The school require that every student wear a uniform. But, I didn't like uniform. I forgot one day.
I said “it's not your business.” “you're just a student. You are not teacher. You cannot do that.”
“I really hate this kind of rule. If I walked in with your kind of hairstyle or mine right now, they would tell me to go home.

“But my high school was a really good school. Everyone is good. I got a really high score in middle school to go there and I got permission to go there. They have middle school section and high school section.

“Oh that's definitely true. When american student say, I work hard, that's not compared to china. We have great student population, so there's not enough room for all those students. Only the best get in.
“If college in heaven, then high school must be hell” for students in china


“Language was the biggest problem for me. I cannot take good notes and when teacher describe a definition or theory, I sometimes lose what he says. Now, I'm getting much better. Sometimes cannot understand another students restatement of what teacher said. “when I do research paper, had a lot of grammatical problems.” now vocab and grammar much better than before.
“Have trouble finding real chinese food. Just try my best to eat all of my food in U.S. Eat pizza everyday, because it's better than most other food.”

“I like Applebees, McAlister's. I hate fast food.”
“Don't have sweet tea at all.” “But I eat a lot of american food in china.”

How are women expected to act in china in public?
Traditional view: Keep silent and elegant. Dress up very nice. They talk smart and try to be knowledgeable. “They repect their grandparents. They are supposed to respect. When they talk to old people, use a lot of informal language. They say “hello” in very respectful way. It's all about the tone. They really care about what's going on about their family.
“Chinese culture is changing. In asian time (100-200 years ago) one guy could have many wives.
Good cooking and housework, that's changed. Let me emphasize, girl always needs to respect old people. Non traditional – guy and girl considered equal.

“China is a country of respect. All Asian countries focus on that. We are dominant cultural circle in Asia.

Trad guy – respect older people, expected to take care of wife and kids. Have responsibility for whole family. Able to solve tough problems. Guy needs to protect wife. Expected to take care of parents and grandparents. “They live with their kids when they retire.”


China is 5000 years old.
“I think United States grabbed the technology from all over the world. That's why this country became so powerful, so quickly.”


Never ask really unrespectful question. Salary is a really sensitive question that depends on how close relationship is.


Traditional chinese food
Noodles, rice, dumpling, tofu. “If i'm eating in a restaurant, the cook will cut food before they serve. We don't use knife to cut food. Chopstick spoon.
Don't put ice in drinks.
“China is becoming very affected by America. For example, Coke. I drink Coca-Cola for over 20 years. Sometimes you have to ask for the ice. “They just don't often serve that.” “A lot of young people like it though.”

Chinese people drink a lot of hot water. Never put ice in the tea. We boil water, have a really different water system. We cannot drink directly from faucet. Put chemicals in water. The reason we boil water is bec water system cannot kill ALL of the microorganisms. We buy a lot of bottled water.

Use subways. We have subway and public bus. Now, people can buy cars. “Car is useless for my family. Both my parents and I don't know how to drive. We have a pretty advanced transportation system, our subway system is much better than new york city and los angelas. However, road system is about the same as New York City. Beijing is a huge construction area. It's building up very fast. Sometimes, I have trouble recognizing certain streets because i've been in u.s. Too long.

One child policy
Because we have a great population, chinese gov thought it would be big problem for our society. Every family just have one baby. Now they have changed it a little bit.....If i'm an only child and she's an only child, you can have two kids. If you have more than you pay fine.

“In ancient times, every chinese family preferred a boy. Now, it's different. I've been to a lot of places in China.....there's a lot of girls. But in the poor areas, they still prefer the boy, because boy means money, but being a girl is not.

Can u see boxes number 1 through 4 on the sheet? That means four types of things u need to deal with in ur entire life. Number one: something important but not urgent. Number two: something not important and also not urgent. Number three: the thing is important and urgent. Number four: the thing is not important but urgent. For our real life, people might wanna go number one case. Cuz the situation lets u have something need to achieve and also gives u more control. Number two u shouldn't always want to go because it is the reason of why we call u "LAZY". Number three case means u r in the crisis, no one wants do that. It's kinda like when u gotta pee, but there is no toilet. U don't want that,right? Number four is interesting. Sometime,u have to deal something not really important but it is really urgent. Like when someone call ur numeber several times,but u just don't wanna answer the phone cuz u know that's not gonna be a important thing. Or, u know u r gonna late for the club meeting but u just don't wanna go anywhere. In this case, we call that "WASTE" which means the thing waste ur time. What a crazy stuff!! I've never tried to look at my life through this chart. It is a pretty clarified and interesting way to evaluate ur life status. Ha!

What can I do for u,my future?

I usually ask me question why the world needs communication.Why we have mass media? And why we have some many entertainment program? Since these questions stuck in my head,I decided to study even harder in my communication major.I already learned many things from the text and teacher's lectures but sometimes I still feel confused. The good thing is no matter how confuse u r and how many questions u have,the world we are living will give ur answer.However,u need to open ur eyes and use ur intelligent well to find out the correct anwer for ur confuse part.Tonight,I've been watching a very short movie over and over again and kind find some answers for my confuses.It is special and very short that named "The lunch date". It basically talk about a meaningful story about a old lady in the train station. U can see a old lady was walking in station hall,and depend on her dressing style u can tell she is very rich. She oredered a dinner in the restaurant of the train station. After a little while she lived her table for grabing the fork and everything,she saw there was a black man was eating her dinnner.She was very angre about this but she just couldn't stop this guy. Even she is so elegant, even she acted like a nobility,she still feel hungry.So,she have to throw her elegant away now.She decided to eat with this guy and she actually share the food from him. Well,this is a point. Why this black amn let her shared the food and why he even bought a cup of coffee for this lady later.He supposed to be a poor guy or begger,how did he have money to buy coffee? People got to think about this after watching the story.And that was what the director want. At the end of the story,the movie gave us a supprise and also gave the answer for those question. In fact, this lady kinda messed up her memory. She thought that black man sat on her position but actually her seat was not there. So,when she saw him had the same order,everything was just going wrong. Finally,the movie is over but the audience still keep thinking. How to judge people? How to be more fair? How to get the truth from the strong stereotype? How to catch people's behavior to tell their personalities? How to use items to show what u want to tell audiences? Some questions are for audiences and some of them are for the movie maker. I remember the charactors in the movie never said who is the thief,who make mistake. It just show everything with certain items. Like the lady always with big bag in her hand and the bag where she put it in the movie tell audiends she made a mistake for her seat. This is a good example for teaching movie maker how to use movie items in the movie. Before the main story came up,the director also brought some small episodes to audiences in the movie. Like when she was waiting for the train,she bumped into a black guy.All of her stuffs were just everywhere on the floor.At that time,the black guy try to help her pick those stuffs up to her but she said "NO". After she missed her train,she figure out she lost some pesonal belongings after bumped into that black guy. If u watch the whole movie and u see how the lady acted during the bump time,u will believe that black guy is a thief. Most importanly,u will have the same stereotype to this lady. So when u see the thing happen on the lady,u will feel the same way. U can tell the black man who was eating there even know she just made a mistake.He just didn't say anything to this old lady. I pretty sure there are some people live in the world might be like this black guy in the movie.They might suffer unfair horrible cruelties,but they just keep silent. It doesn't mean they don't care or don't feel pain,it means they let people shows the darkness point of the world... I do believe when people realize how urgly they are and how many problem in our society,they will feel shame and gonna change the world.This is the idea of the movie gave and this is the way I believe.

looking at the mirror...

Sometimes u suddenly realize something u never treat them as important.Like after talking to Mr.S,I suddenly understand how to be positive even in my lowest moment.Otherwise I finally know why he is incredible interesting person.

Mr.S is kinda a sensitive person with the introverted personality.For him,a girlfriend might be even more important than others.He asked me the quesion that what kind of girl I like last night and he asked again now.So,I am wondering why he is so interested about this,about me.And then I figure out he probabaly wants a girl,he just feel hard to say it out loud.That's why he keep asking me the same quesion.When I start to ask him whether he wants to be someone's boyfriend.He told me it's sad I asked about this,cuz he already tried several time to date a girl and he had failed.He got this bad mood stucks in his mind for long time...Well,I told him my situation as a example and tried to let him could understand we can live so well without any girls.There is no doubt guys all wants a good girl,however,please be aware she should be a good and right girl.How many chance we could meet girls?It's not a hard quesion.Why do we worry about find a girl from the million people.Sometimes,girls choose guys.She say no to u,beacuse u r not the guy her heart is missing.People are always wondering what in the world are girls looking for?Good looking guy?Money?I just say don't even worry about that!That's it...Better travel more places to find the other one than do research about female!It is not about our attraction,our social status,it is really just need to take more time for waiting someone loves u.I think my words was working on his mind,cuz he seemed like getting better...And by the way,I felt better too!Sometimes I feel the same way to Mr.S,like no buddy really care about me.But when I saw his problem as a witness and try to help him,I realized many things that I though I've never understood...

Stephen Ginn took this photo while I was listening to Guy(a funny name~).I love this photo cuz it shows my T-shirt's logo.Emory & Henry is actually a college in Virginia.I've been there for two months in 2006.There is no opportunity to let me can visit there again until a vehicle is belongs to me...Hopefully,I will have a car soon and I will travel more places.Before I fell into sleep last night,Stepen told me that his goals are to graduate from this college,find a girlfriend,going to North Carolina one day.I don't care my graduation and also skip girlfriend part,however,I pay big attention on the place was called North Carolina.He said that there are many beautiful montain and water stuff and I also was being told about this millions time by Eli.It seems like a new trip has been planned.Yay!What I need to do is just waitting for a long holiday!!

back to the U.S

My new roommate who is also my old friend Stephen already moved in to the dorm.I'm so excited.Kinda interesting,When I first year to being MC.I need a friend who can help me English,then I met Callie and Floyd.The second year,I knew Jack.He bring me many things and I learned a lot.Now,Stephen is a graduate student in graphic design major.Believing that he will teaches me many things in photo taking which is my big hobby.I'm so lucky to meet people.Every friend can be a teacher.No!I should say every people is my teacher even someone is mean to me.I realize how does a person getting stronger.It is millions people u meet help u become indestructable. This is gonna be a crazy term.One of courses I registered named Introduction to Graphic Software.I've never know it required to use mac ox operate system in this class...So,everyone use MacBook even all of accessories with computer are Apple products...I'm probably the first and only one person try to success in this class without the Apple company stuff.That's hilarious... Have u ever heard about Photojournalism.It is a class talk about photo use in the journalism field.I think it's interesting,so I choose the class.And today is the first day meeting of this class.The instructor is Dr.Veince.He was trying to tell students photo's power.So,he gave us a photo show two people are standing in front of a train.One is a lady,another is a gentleman.They fell into each other's arms lovingly.Obviously,one of them were leaving.That was the quesiton,there is only one way can tell who was leaving in the picture.
So Dr.Veince go:"Who is leaving?Who else know?"The class was steping into the slient.
Then a guy said:"the lady was leaving."
The professor go:"How could u tell?"
"Well,I can't"
A few minutes later,a girl said:"I think the gentlemant was leaving."
why?"Dr.Veince asked.
"Wo,just because~~"The girl said.
So,no one know the answer at the time...And professor continued to wait for someone to give us a correct answer."Who was leaving in this photo?"He asked again.
"I know!!"
"Ok,Dai.Please tell us who would be leaving in the picture."
"the train!!"
"A!hahahahahahaha,hahahahahahahaha..."The classroom was suddenly out of controll.Everybody just laughed out loud...And the professor also can't help laughing for a while.
And he said:"So,we got DaiZhen,our class would never be bored.haha!"
Well...it is just one frist meeting class of the entire new semester...I'm already famous...Good,no bad.That's me!Since I'm only one foreigner in the class again,no one would think I'm too weird to be a real person,lol~~.

I will leave soon...And before that,I called my friends,I called all of people I could finds...Then,we hung out in a resturant.I didn't eat much and I pretty sure no one was really eating at the time.We are classmates and very very close friends at college.We haven't seen each other forever...So,everybody just kept talking all the time and nobody care foods.Ha!
Two months holiday is kinda long,I'm being miss college life very much.However,when I see my dear friends,I'm thinking of stay.I notice every time before I leave,I feel the same way.Gash!What a crazy life!Leave?Stay?Anyway,let me stop hesitate...I would not stop my journey.When I stand on the land of America,I still can see all of ur smile faces...everywhere...And I will remember u guys forever...

personal presentation

Half year before,I set up a meeting with my friends who were my classmate at junior high school and high school.And Just 24 hours before,I had met them.We spent wonderful time together and talked about each story and experience belong to each person.We recall our lifes of teenager.To look back on those years and those things I did,I realize I mature more.For the past month,I did a lot of things.Spending great time with my family,meeting people,reading,watching movie,all the things I did could compose a summer vocation life we call it colorful.Most importantly,I participated in the editing of Apo's English translated works.This is the first time I gain such a trust in academic concern from someone,even from my family.The book work is almost done.After the final editing,it will be published.During the publishing time,I would have been to U.S.My dad will send me the book and I will enjoy my work.Thinking of this,I'm quite happy...
Last two weeks,my friend send me a video that record my National park trip.I watch it over and over again.Yellowstone,Arches,Canyonlands...all that places with my memories come to me.Those feeling the video shows me is the power lets me continue to discover.Maybe one day,I could have thousands and thousands of my own videos.I will put them together then show people as a DaiZhen's movie...Hopefully,it becomes the new power that makes other people to discover.Like a dreamer to discover and pursue their dream.
For staying around Beijing a whole month,I start to miss Mississippi.I'm kinda thinking of my friends in MC all the time and looking forward the new semester.The new goal is waiting for me to achieve.The knowledge is available to use.What am I waiting for?Go!Man!In the years of ahead,something will change.It is said that some friends will leave U.S and some are gonna stay.It's sad to tell myself I will lose some people,but it's excited to know more new friends.I will live my life on my way and go to experience what the future gonna show me.

I took million photos every year.Each one of them has a story and special meaning.For me,photos are more valuable gift than any other things I have.It's kinda like souvenirs of my previous journey.I love those photos cuz I love those places were shown by the photo.Even now,I'm looking at them.They give me the story and beautiful memory to recall.People said old man like recall.So when u start to recall,u getting old.Yes,I'm old,compare with little boys and girls.However,it's not sad thing to say that.Old enough could means mature,means I'm already old enough to remember and cherish,old enough to learn.26 is not close to die!I still have long way to go.I still have plenty amazing stories to recall.At the end of the 26th years in my life,I give myself the best wishes,the wishes for the future,the wishes for my freedom...

some words for u...

Partly Cloudy is a short film clip was showed before UP motion pictures.It was Pixar's work.I would say this is the one of the best shorts I've ever seen.It was showing me a romantic episode about lovely cloud men in the sky create baby creatures then give them to storks for delivery to the the family where they belong.There is only one gray cloud is different.All of creations from his hands would be the baby monster.Every time he give his dangerous baby to the delivery stork,the poor stork is hurt...after being bitten by a little crocodile,butted by a baby bighorn,the stork couldn't take hurts anymore.However this kindness stork didn't leave.He went to get a football helmet for protection and still came back to the gray cloud.He still want to deliver those dangerous baby even his protective clothes couldn't do anything to a electric eel which was the last animal he got...The whole story stop here,only take five minutes long.We can see how powerful the cartoon is!Five minutes is already enough to tell u what love is and how to treat people.Deers,dogs,cats,birds...they r nice and beautiful.No wonder we like them as friends.Crocodiles,sharks are dangerous but not dangerous like u thought.They didn't bother our life at all if we try to know them.I'm so glad this cartoon can provide this feeling to audiences.And this feeling makes me absolutely fabulous...

never graduate,no matter in campus or off campus...

The most beautiful thing is u still being called student until u die.
I'm so glad to learned something important from Negotiation class.Dr.Ziegler said that many of time we think we just have power.But we usually have more thing than we think.The professor use his experience as a example.He said:"Dr.Fortenberry can let me to teach this class in the summer.He has authority to do that but he can't makes me to do that.There is a possibility I could say there is no way to teach this course in summer.So,I let him have this power to tell me everything I need to do."For me,I really love this part he said in the class.It does make sense in the political policy.I've never said Adolf Hitler or Saddam Hussein should take all of responsibilities for those evil thing.Because whoever like Hitler is just one man,he can't do all of the bad thing by himself.Can u image If I try to kill people,the police will stop me and take me away.There is no doubt Hitler have great power,that's why we call him dictator.People might think who gave him power,who let him become the god of the country and who let him dare to want to take over the whole world?The only one correct answer is people.People gave those power that could destroy our civilization to evil person.This truth may cause many talk and think but at least one thing should be paid more attention.When we judge and evaluate someone,please judge yourself in the first place.Do research on both parties involved is the source of the progress and the reform.

In communication study term,students probably could think more out of the textbook.It's amazing to learn many things out of the class.I'm being renewed in my brain and spirit......

interview day

I took a interview by Chrissy two weeks ago.It was a assignment from her journalism major talked about culture differences and religions.We really talked a lot and mentioned almost everything about we had to say in three hours.The most hard question I still remember was what made me come to MC even though I knew this is a christian college.It is also a very common question has been paid great attention by many MC students.I told this girl that I like communicate with different people and I knew there are many kinds of people out there in MC.No matter where are they come from and what are they believe in,we can talk and be good friends even though I'm not a christian.That's pretty much why I come to MC.
Be honest,I usually treat me as a atheist.I believe science and only believe the thing we can see or test.So I told this to my friends over and over again until one day I made a deep conversation with my dad.Anything u could believe or not only because u be able to clarify what the thing is.That was my Dad told me.I started to realize I said I'm atheist is not because I learned science.It is just because I don't know many thing about science and Christianity.So I can't say I believe those thing or not until I really understand what they are.For many years ago,I've never paid attention on our world.I used to be a complete follower.Parents,teachers,books,those kind of things taught me a lot and let me follow.One day,when I first time try to use my brain,I find too many thing out there blow my mind.My dad said:"My son,the only way may people could judge correct or wrong is when they have learned something.it's time to open ur eyes and go out to discover.Then,u can touch the faith and find out what u should believe."Now,I understand why my parents want me to study abroad and I also understand why MC is a good place to stay......
One last thing,I was surprised by her(Chrissy) lenovo laptop.That was my first time to see a American student have this logo.The most interesting part I'm gonna tell u guys is she thought lenovo is a American logo.Yeah......she did.

learning

So like DaiZhen is not a silly boy who is zone out all the time in the classroom.I really get many things out of the class.In Dr.Fortenberry's process and effects night class,we talked about persuasion and coercion.I heard about something important in my life,actually in everyone's life.Persuasion is working on both people's attitude and behavior.Attitude is your viewpoint about the thing others try to persuade u,behavior is something u really do.So,in the persuasion process,u have time and choices to figure out the idea from other people is good or bad.And then,u could decide to do or not do.That's why we define persuasion as positive.On the other hand,coercion is totally different.It only works on ur behavior and never care about ur attitude.That's means u do not have any choice.U have to do what people told u even through u don't agree with them,or else they will push u to do that.So,attitude is not important at all in coercion process.Kinda like the side effects in medical treatment,those informations from the class often makes me find out more head fake.Of course,these side effects of knowledges are good for my life.This time I find out that no matter persuasion or coercion,u should beware the information u hear from any other one is never absolutely true or absolutely false.So,please be careful to say believe.Researching and seeking are always important in ur life.Hope people change their attitude and behavior by what they really see and what they got after research.

This is a special weekend.Happiness and sadness are full of this two days.I spent most of my free time with my friends and enjoyed about that.But I also got some informations that makes me really sad.My grandfather's healthy situation is even worse than in the past few years.The doctor told my family that he has only three or four months to live.If the world is a huge stage and each people's life is a play,I think my grandfather is a good actor.He is 87 years old and has been suffered by sick over 10 years.It is the time to finish all of these tortures.All of my family members should give him more power to finish his life performance and also give him curtain call.Hopefully,my grandfather can go through this hard time soon...

weekend

A call from Beijing,told me a bad news.My grandfather have terminal liver cancer.The situation is so hard to face.He is 87 years old.For a terminal cancer patient,his age can't allow him to take the surgery for treatment.All we can do is trying our best to take care of him in the last period.I feet spiritually very depressed and sad.This grief ruins my weekend...And I don't think any of my friends can help me to heal my soul.Maybe the thing is out there,it is the time to face it.Come on!Dai!Be stronger,be a man!!

hard time

I have a big test next Monday...In the process and effects course,what I have to do are read and understand well the whole textbook,take a really really good class notes,review more knowledge from other communication major courses cuz my teacher gonna put questions from all of those materials on the every test.That's really difficult.For a international student,this gonna be even harder...As Dr.Fortenberry said,this is a big boys and big girls class.Agreed!I believe I am the big boy that he talked about.My friends,I hope now I could have ur supports and care,and,ur trust.

New semester

This is funny!!I find out my face has been pasted on our communication department homepage.That was so cool!Thanks for Steven Ginn took so many good pictures.This guy should works for motion pictures in Hollywood.Anyway,very happy for being a cover person could represent our cool department!After lunar new year,I'm getting busy.Many thing I need to do.1st amendment clause Presentation,journalism assignment,process and effects stuff,convocation paper topic,midterm...a ton of "missions" are out there...Well,this is college life.The school is never easy however I enjoy it.If everything is going well,this year would my final year in MC.Let me successfully finish all of those courses!!YAY,I can do it!!

Dances with wolves

I just saw a movie I have been watched million times,called Dances with wolves.I love this movie because it is talk about human,civilization,friendship,race.And it also show people the history and culture of the America.Most importantly,the movie I love mention the communication.We can tell how was communication working between two ethnic group.One dialogue I like from this movie was a conversation between Kick bird and Dambar.When Kick bird asked Dambar:How many whites will come to this land?He said:"like stars."Yes,millions people from the continent on the opposite side of the ocean came to America.Since the European came to this great land,many things changed.It's not easy to describe those changes.History is a process and never stop also hard to be understand.When I came to this world,here is already have a developed country we call Unite states.We can see all of those thing were changed by time however time will never change love and freedom in people's heart.If I have a chance,I wanna be that person,go out to travel by myself and look the frontier even dance with wolves.
